Let’s Take a Trip through the Outback

2010outback_review000_optSo, what can we expect from the 2010 Subaru Outback? To answer that question, it is important to take a look at the vehicle’s evolution. It began as the Subaru Legacy, a seriously jacked wagon with four wheel drive.

Following a few special editions, the Legacy Outback finally morphed into the Subaru Outback, a stand alone vehicle which emerged over ten years ago, in 1995.

This officially set the precedent. The vehicle instantly became known for its capability, its durability; it was known as easy to use, wide ranging, and great to maintain. Of course, back then, you definitely did not purchase the Outback because it necessarily looked good.

However, by all accounts, the new 2010 Subaru Outback has the styling and the power, leaving lots of buyers just waiting for it to emerge on the market.

Will the 2010 Jaguar XJ be Illegal in the US?

jaguar-xj_consoleI am so utterly in love with every aspect I have thus far seen of the 2010 Jaguar XJ. It is absolutely gorgeous. It looks, to be quite frank, like sex on four wheels — and that is saying a lot, because generally I am not a fan of the newer Jags. I like the older ones much, much more.

But that might be a moot point. Something really great about the new Jaguar might just be illegal in the United States.

Specifically, the dual view console screen, one of the most awesome systems ever, might just ruin it for everybody.

It was designed so passengers could watch a movie during a drive. However, that could get distracting if you are the (lucky, lucky, lucky) driver, right? Exactly.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration thinks so as well. Still, even the designer points out that the system itself is made so that the driver will not be distract it. Will it make it through?

The Bugatti Veyron: Not for a Million Dollars

bugattiNo, you really will not have to pay a million dollars to own the Bugatti Veyron — it is actually more like two million for the coveted Grand Sport. The question is — what were these manufacturers thinking, marking a price like that at a time like this?

They are thinking that people want a convertible like this. They are thinking that even drivers in France love it, which is almost unheard of. They are thinking people will pay prices like this if it means getting a car that will get past 62 miles per hour in less than three seconds; up beyond the 124 mph mark in a little over seven seconds; and up to 186 miles per hour in just over sixteen and a half seconds.

They are thinking that a car with one thousand — and one — horsepower is worth a whopping two mil.

Is it? Well, that’s not for me to say — but I could think of better things to spend two million bucks on, myself.

Auto insurance for young drivers

Young DriverThe major fret gripping most of the parents, nowadays, is embalming their children when they grow big and begin driving. They fear in including them to their policies of auto insurance due to enhancement in the premium for young drivers. However, this becomes imperative when children grow and begin driving.

Several reasons contribute to the insurance being so high for the young drivers. First reason in the list that accounts for the insurance premium to be so elevated for the young drivers is that they do not have any experience of driving. For this you at least require an experience above three years for a minimal rate quote. The next is the age factor. If their age is below 25 years of age then their rate of interest will touch heights. In general the rates are higher for a male driver in comparison to the female driver. This is mainly as the males are subjected to high risks.

A young driver when begins to drive inculcates new confidence. It is mainly stepping into a responsible world. A parent should encourage their young drivers to feel confident when they drive to liberate them free from fear to, an act to prevent accidents on road. In this age any accident, suspension will double or in some cases triple the premium of auto insurance. If an adult also breaches the record of driving it enhances their premium which causes a hole in the pocket, now you can imagine the implications it will have on a young driver. Making payments of their premium may assist the young driver to acquaint themselves with the importance of what it means to have an opportunity to drive a car. The young ones should be encouraged to understand the worth of car insurance and how the proper kinds of car coverage must be carried.

mustangCar enthusiasts in general and Mustang enthusiasts in particular are already praising the 2010 model for its speed — it goes so fight you practically expect it to take flight. With that being said, Ford has actually taken one of these classics and totally tricked it out with an amazing aviation theme. The car will be auctioned for charity at the end of the month, on July 30.

Officially, it is the AV-X10, but it is also known as the Dearborn Doll, and it is based around the Mustang GT. There is only one of these tricked out beauties in existence. It was put together by some of Ford’s best designers and engineers.

Where does it get its power? From a tight 550 horsepower engine, totally supercharged, a 4.6 liter V8. There is a tuned exhaust complete with exhaust tips, as well as a handling pack.

Our congrats go out beforehand to the lucky winner of the Dearborn Doll.

2010 Jaguar XKR Goodwood SpecialI never thought that I would actually like a Jaguar car.  My girlfriend, she is nuts for them but me?  Well, I never thought that I would find one that I actually loved … until I laid eyes on the 2010 Jaguar XKR Goodwood Special.  This beautiful car is not only one of those cars that is breathtaking to look at, but under the hood, it is completely exotic and all around beautiful!  This incredible car is actually a need-for-speed car … no the video game exactly, but it is a car that needs to be going fast most of the time because honestly … it goes up to about 225 miles per hour and that is … crazy!

Under the hood: 5.0-liter V8 for a total of 530 horsepower and 515 lb-ft of torque. Considering that the (anything but) ordinary 510 hp version rockets to 60 mph in just 4.6 seconds.  All of that and the car actually looks cool too?  That is mind blowing to me and I have to say that you really need to take a closer look at this particular car … it truly is one of those cars that look beautiful and live up to the Jaguar name!

Just remember the 2010 Jaguar XKR Goodwood Special name and just wait for it to come out … it is going to be hot and selling out so fast!

Jaguar going hybrid, engineers say Lexus builds inefficient hybrids

Jaguar keeps its hands busy with the development of the new XJ saloon which is set to be released by the third quarter of 2010. The sales of the current XJ version are not as impressive as its competition from the 7 series of BMW and the S-Class of Mercedes Benz. Jaguar learned that looking in the past for design inspiration is a big mistake and they will not be making the same error again.

Jaguar designers wants to build new cats that are ready to pounce with more aggression. According to an insider, they are looking at deriving the lines of the new XJ from the XF. Aside from the look upgrade, the XJ will also get a work up with new engine features.

The car manufacturer is planning to launch a hybrid XJ by 2011 or a year after the new XJ saloon hits dealerships. The plug-in XJ will utilize the power from lithium ion battery packs combined with a combustion engine primarily used to back up the batteries.

All the plans can be executed, thanks to a loan amounting to £307 million from an investment bank. Jaguar is planning to collaborate with Land Rover to develop hybrid technologies which can be used for their next range of cars.

The platform Jaguar plans to use is a lot more similar to the one used by the Chevrolet Volt. Land Rover will be looking into engines similar to the Prius’ which makes use of both the combustion engine and the electric powertrain to drive the wheels.

The Tesla Roadster: It’s Coming In ‘10!

Tesla RoadserThere are some cars that I simply can not wait for them to come out … the Tesla Roadster is one of them.  This car is going to be one of the best cars as soon as it comes out in the first quarter of 2010 and it will be available in either standard or Sport.

While right now, there is one Tesla Roadster available, it is in Australia and to be honest, it is for the left-handed drivers … wrong side of the road drivers I call ‘em (just kidding!) and it costs upwards of $200,000 Australian dollars and to me … that is a little more than I wanted to spend on this car.

I’ll just wait for it to come out and be released next year … hopefully the cost is going to go down, however I do now see that happening, as the Tesla Roadster is one of the most anticipated cars in the world.  The sport feel of it and overall look is something that everyone is expecting and waiting for.
