Guess what is going to be coming up right around the corner in January? Well, this car, for one. It is the newest concept from Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt. Ltd., otherwise known as TKM. It is scheduled to be revealed in New Delhi at the beginning of the month, at the Auto Expo for 2010.
Two different models will be unveiled: a four door model and a five door model. Nevertheless, the concept represents a compact car, one that will be available in India later in 2010. Succinctly, the company maintains that the Etios is designed to combine quality features with new technology.
As it happens, the Etios was developed especially for India.
During the developmental process, many cities and even homes in the country were visited, so that developers and designers could actually see what consumers wanted and needed.
Before everyone goes getting excited about the sleek car pictured here, I have some bad news for some of you out there who like what you see. This car is marketed by HSCI — otherwise known as the Honda Siel Cars India Ltd., which is the subsidiary in India for the Japanese manufacturer. Meaning that, although the concept — called the Honda New Small Concept — will be unveiled in January in New Delhi, at the 2010 Auto Expo, it is pretty much only going to be available in India and Thailand, and not until 2011 at that.
Many design elements that are characteristic of Honda can be seen on the concept. The theme under which it was designed is known as Efficient Energetic Exterior.
No one expected Peugeot to show off any glimpses of its new concept until the 2010 motor show in Geneva, but darned if they didn’t surprise us — and I, for one, am so glad they did. It is like a belated Christmas present!
The SR1 concept is a 2+1 that is made to show off a superbly stylistic design — one the brand intends to incorporate in future models, in fact.
The SR1 concept is a hardtop convertible, the first embodiment of Peugeot’s new design aesthetic — which includes the brand new Lion badge, seen on the sculpted, sleek hood of the car.
The concept is a variation on the theme of Grand Touring vehicles and it is meant to aid the driver in explorations.
When it comes to Toyota, we all know that the 2011 Toyota Sienna is definitely the car that everyone is waiting for … besides all of the hybrids that Toyota is working on of course. However, did you know that the pricing for the 2011 Toyota Sienna is actually available right now?
Well, I can tell you that the 2011 Toyota Sienna is actually going to be lower than the 2010 or even the 2009 price … by about $340.00 dollars that is. It is going to run about $24,260 starting and that does not include a whole lot.
The great thing about the 2011 Toyota Sienna is the fact that it is awesome on the road … and definitely a clever little SUV in the way of space.
For those of you that have been following the auto news surrounding Saab, there is an update! Finally, someone is going to purchase Saab and that is Spyker. T Spyker has extended the deadline on its final-final offer to purchase Saab from GM and I can tell you that this Dutch company is serious.
General Motors has set a deadline of December 31st to conclude its sale completely of Saab and while we know that Spyker is working on purchasing the brand, there are some obstacles that they are trying to overcome right now.
Hopefully – for all you Saab fans out there, the deal goes through and Spyker does end up purchasing the Swedish brand.
Honda is a brand that is known not only for their incredibly built cars, but also for their compact cars. Did you know that Honda actually just announced recently that they are going to be debuting a brand new compact concept car at the Delhi Motor Show in January?
The brand new Honda CR-Z Concept Car is not only awesome, but it is one car that I think that is going to make all sorts of waves. Although Toyota sort of stole Honda’s thunder by announcing that they were going to unveil a brand new compact car at the same show … the Honda CR-Z Concept Car concept is still something that I am excited about.
So Honda – show off your true colors and let the Honda CR-Z Concept Car out of the box at the Delhi Motor Show!
Vanessa Rousso has had a great 2009 with a couple million in tournament winnings alone, and a brand new sponsorship deal as the latest GoDaddy.com-girl. She’s quickly turning into a mainstream celebrity, and I have to say she’s now got a car to match her celebrity-status: a (yes, used) yellow Lamborghini Gallardo.
I just love her, she’s drop dead gorgeous AND she can play the game. Gooooo Vanessaa!
