All Hail Kia’s New Concept

Kia Ray conceptI am absolutely enamored with Kia’s new concept, simply titled the Ray. It is incredibly innovative, and rather edgy at that — score one for Kia!

The concept got its big reveal at Chicago’s motor show. The Korean manufacturer especially wanted to highlight its desire to produce a more environmentally efficient automobile. One result of that desire is this new plug in hybrid, which combines bold engineering and design. The materials used to build it are not only lightweight, they are also recycled.

The Ray concept is based around the popular platform used for the Kia Forte. The surfaces are clean and sleek, with no angles or edges that are not necessary.

It has everything, from solar cells to floating seat frames.

Toyota Pedal Recall: First Class-Action Lawsuits Are Being Filed!

292010toyotaprius-630opAll right people, you know that the Toyota recall is some of the biggest news to hit the auto market since – well, in a while right?  People crashing into buildings, other cars and people just all around getting hurt.  It is difficult to handle, but Toyota is doing an okay job … I think.

Right now however, there are many people that are actually filing lawsuits again Toyota to pay for things like – higher car insurance premiums because they crashed because of the fact that their gas pedal was stuck.

What do you guys think about this?  For me – I think it’s a great idea.  I mean honestly, I think that Toyota was stupid to not start the recall earlier.

If you are a Saab fan and you have been waiting on pins and needles to hear if Koenigsegg is actually going to buy Saab from GM – I am the bearer of bad news.  Well – actually, autoblog.com is because that is where I caught this headline from.  Koenigsegg is actually pulling out of the negotiations to buy Saab.

Right now – no one really knows what is going to happen with the Swedish automaker’s future right now.  It is really unclear exactly what is going to happen but GM is going to take the next several days in order to actually assess the situation and figure out what they are going to do.

GM is really looking to get Saab off of their plate so they can move onto bigger brands but no one really seems to take all that much interest in this brand.

2010 Fesler-Moss Camaros

If you have been following along with the General Motors news, you would have read that GM actually partnered with Chris Fesler’s custom car shop.  Now though, we are finally able to reveal some of the pictures that have come out as a result of that partnership and I am proud to say that the 2010 Fesler-Moss Camaro is absolutely beautiful.

Not only is the 2010 Fesler-Moss Camaro available in two different flavors, but the overall appeal of this particular Camaro is incredible!  Now – the first package is the Competition package and this has a $50,000 price tag but the upgrades like a supercharger and a six-piston brake system make it all the better!

If you are looking for another flavor of the 2010 Fesler-Moss Camaro, well, the Limited Edition package is just $150,000 and has everything!

Koenigsegg Group and General Motors have reached the final table deal with regard to the fate of the Saab. After twenty years of American ownership, Swedish supercar maker Koenigsegg will have 100% control over the Saab brand.

The deal will be concluded after a few months and the Saab brand will know what lies ahead. Koenigsegg and GM will be handling necessary legal re-organization and discuss some closing conditions.

General Motors is expected to give transitional assistance for the operation of Saab. The Swedish government has also promised to inject some funding to the turnover.

Koenigsegg buys Saab from GM

For a certain time frame, Koenigsegg and GM will be sharing their services and technology guided by set agreements. The Swedish car maker plans to put into effect some solutions to revive Saab but it is a big job to prove for a company with only 50 employees that sell a number of $1 million cars annually.

The All-New 2010 Ford Grand C-Max!

2010 Ford Grand C-MaxFor me not being a Ford lover and for me to be writing a blog like this – I have to say, it is pretty rare.  Ford is actually coming out with some of the best cars in the world and I have to say that their 2010 lineup is something that I am actually looking forward to.  For example, the 2010 Ford Grand C-Max is actually one SUV that I am looking forward to … which is weird!

Personally, I think that the ‘soccer-mom’ mini-van days are a thing of the past because of things like the 2010 Ford Grand C-Max.  While this SUV seems to be based off of the Pontiac Vibe, which I personally own, I think that the Grand C-Max is actually a fantastic comparison … and it looks chic!

Chic, stylish and fashionable – those are the three words that I would use to describe the all new 2010 Ford Grand C-Max!

If You’ve Ever Wanted to Take Your RV Off Road…

dunkelndustriesluxury4x4---00Recreational vehicles — otherwise, and more simply, known as RVs — are getting a makeover. At least, those manufactured by Dunkel Industries are certainly getting a brand new look, and with it will come some brand new capabilities as well.

To hear the full name — the Dunkel Industries Luxury 4×4 — probably makes you think of something else entirely. A Land Rover, maybe, or the appropriately hot Cayenne manufactured by Porsche. But no, the Luxury 4×4 refers to the 2009 RV built by Dunkel. And boy, is it ever a doozy.

For one thing, the RV is much, much bigger than you may be imagining. Even the picture hardly does it justice. To give you an idea, consider this: it contains the commercial chassis of the Ford F-650.

The interior features Fiberglass, leather, and wood. A 55mph speed limit is not necessary. Other features include a shower, a box for firewood; built in camp chairs; custom seats and cabinets; a stereo, CD player, DVD player, Bluetooth, Navigation, and a laptop in the center dash; a seat that turns into a bed in the rear; a tilt bed; and many, many more.
