Will the 2010 Jaguar XJ be Illegal in the US?
I am so utterly in love with every aspect I have thus far seen of the 2010 Jaguar XJ. It is absolutely gorgeous. It looks, to be quite frank, like sex on four wheels — and that is saying a lot, because generally I am not a fan of the newer Jags. I like the older ones much, much more.
But that might be a moot point. Something really great about the new Jaguar might just be illegal in the United States.
Specifically, the dual view console screen, one of the most awesome systems ever, might just ruin it for everybody.
It was designed so passengers could watch a movie during a drive. However, that could get distracting if you are the (lucky, lucky, lucky) driver, right? Exactly.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration thinks so as well. Still, even the designer points out that the system itself is made so that the driver will not be distract it. Will it make it through?
